You or someone in your party may qualify for free or reduced rate travel.  Or, your group may qualify for group rate discounts.  For example, if you have enough people in your group on a cruise, you can receive your cruise free!  Or, the airlines will frequently offer a discount if you have enough people traveling together on the same flights.
